The most important thing is that you can comfortably swing a club in your space. In an ideal world you have at least 9' 6" - 10' of height and 13' of width.

We typically recommend the center of your hitting mat to be the same distance as the height of your impact screen. For example if you have a 10' screen, we like to hit at about 10'. This can be modified depending on space constraints and certain technologies.
Camera based systems such as the IDRA II, Nvisage N2 or GolfJoy Rigel 2 are best used for permanent, indoor installations. Radar based units such as Mevo, Trackman are great because they are portable and can be taken to the driving range.
